Board-Certified Music Therapist and singer-songwriter/musician. I serve people with significant disabilities, many of whom also have trauma, as a music therapist. Essentially, I listen to people (especially people who don’t use speech to communicate) using music. I’m also a singer songwriter, and I perform my songs on piano and guitar. I serve as the Vice President for the New Jersey Association for Music Therapy, and I’m one of the editors of an online, open access music therapy journal-zine called Music Therapy Clinician. For many years (between 1995 and 2007) I ran an inclusive once a month coffeehouse (Common Grounds coffeehouse) at Hunterdon Developmental Center which featured local (and slightly less local) musicians/bands.
